For You Project, For Young People
Support for young people between the ages of 10 – 18 years, who have experienced domestic abuse
‘FYP’ is a programme, run by The Paul Lavelle Foundation, in conjunction with The Light House Centre, which aims to support young people between the ages of 10 – 18 years, who have experienced domestic abuse.
The programme is part therapeutic, part educational, part recreational. Run over 3 weeks for 2 hours per week, supporting and educating in the following.
Identifying positive and negative behaviours in relationships
Building self esteem
How to speak out about concerns and where to seek support
Making positive life choices
Effective communication
Expectations of a positive family environment
Boundaries and respect
Managing negative emotions
The programme is delivered onsite within Wirral secondary schools.
